Dr. Monica Hazelwood is a graduate of Colorado State University in Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and was classmates with Dr. Jeff Goldy. She started her career at the largest emergency practice in Phoenix, Arizona but later switched to general practice because she missed the relationships and bonds that form. She loved her practice but not the heat, so in 2015 Dr. Hazelwood moved back to beautiful Colorado. Her clinical expertise is in internal medicine, geriatric cats, diagnostics, and emergency medicine.
During her free time, Dr. Hazelwood enjoys spending time with her husband Scott and two kids, including a daughter who wants to be a vet. They have two large dogs, a lively Rottweiler and sweet German Shepherd. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, gardening, and recently started rock climbing with her kids
